Web Hosting is the ability for you to use our hardware and infrastructure to host or manage your websites. We manage a Server that we slice up and allow you to use. Your customers get world-class performance and availability and you pay a fraction of the costs of purchasing & managing servers in-house.

Web hosting is sometimes known as shared hosting, this is because we share or slice the capability of the platform and allow you to put your website on a small fraction of it. Then we manage and support the platform as a whole to make sure your site is always available for your customers.

WordPress is a well-known Content Management System for website construction, usually used under the Linux operating system, it allows users to design core visuals and manipulate content to produce a premium style site. Some other common Apps are Drupal, Moodle, Joomla and Coranto.

There are many ways to design and create a website, BlackTie Host gives you a couple of options. All the most popular Content Management Systems and Tools to allow sophisticated editing and publication are available under our simple OneClick installation section.

With a Shared Hosting account, we slice the server and storage capability and give your website a small proportion of it. With the Dedicated Server portfolio, you get what it says on the tin… you get a whole server all to yourself.

There isn’t a great deal of difference, but you may make your choice depending upon your preferred development tools. If you normally use WordPress or other Web Apps, or you expect to need Advanced Scripting with Ruby or Python, you should probably choose Linux. If you are more expert with ASP & ASP.NET you should probably choose Windows. We use Linux based servers.

We can help with all aspects of hosting, designing and running a website. However, website support and maintenance is free (for the first year) only for website build by us. If you need help not related to your hosting plan and/or server configuration/features, we provide paid support package.
